A Spirit With Attitude To Match
Although rules are often made to be broken, some are sacrosanct and simply can’t be ignored. Case in point? In the United States, rye whiskey must be made from a mash of at least 51% rye (a member of the wheat tribe). Ours is aged for four years in charred in new American White Oak barrels and is a tad spicier with a more aggressive flavor than our bourbon. Adding an ice cube to your glass opens up the rye and helps enhance the vanilla flavor. And at the risk of sounding biased, our rye makes one of the best Old Fashioned cocktails ever.
